Ninja/take Legendary materials from quests not in your quest log

I was on my paladin healing in ICC and on Putricide I died and left the group, got invited back and when theboss died I entered the instance again and they looted and i was able to roll Need/greed on [Shadowfrost shards] while I am not on the quest but someone else in the raid was but I greeded out of fairness.

This might also work in FL/DS legendary items (if anyone wants to test it)

Don't come with the argument of how useful it is all I know that it is not intended

Anyone could roll on them when my guild did it in wotlk, think it has always been this way

Confucius:I go ICC very frequently and grouplloot never worked the way you said on [Shadowfrost shards]. Also I was the only one that could roll on it apart from the one on the quest explain that. Also I couldn't roll on them on other bosses.

This is old as hell. I know I've made a post on http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...ml#post2092282 (Need before greed bug) ages ago explaining it.

This is an old "bug". Back in the day as long as someone was on The Splintered Throne - Quest - World of Warcraft, whether or not they are done with the quest, you could master loot or need on the shards to someone else who isn't on the quest.

In other words, as long as someone is on The Splintered Throne - Quest - World of Warcraft, any plate class can loot Shadowfrost Shard - Item - World of Warcraft via need/greed or master loot. I tried a quick search for it on here, but nothing came up. But it has been mentioned on wowhead ( Shadowfrost Shard - Item - World of Warcraft ) before. So defo not new.

But needs further testing did they fix what he claimed on need before greed ? if so we have a new way of going about to achieve same results

as we had Group Loot and i was the only one who could Need/greed apart from him and there were more people on infusion quests but weren't able to roll on the item

The title is misleading and this is NOT an exploit.

This is indeed an exploit, however VERY VERY situation dependent as well as "a rare occurrence". Who knows what this concept can lead to. Thanks for the post

You could speed up gathering the materials by being able to need on them before you actually have the required quest.

I notice a lot of people on this site grumbling about two main categories ... if its very useful they grumble about ban .... if its not so useful to them they grumble about usefulness..... what makes you not grumble?

What we all know is that "it is not intended" that is what exploit section is all about.
