[Rogue] Killing Spree, Vrykuls and Lich King. menu

    [Rogue] Killing Spree, Vrykuls and Lich King.

    We all know about the annoying mechanisms of the Vrykuls on the Lich King, especially on your first attempts. But if you're picked up by a vrykul and are about to be dropped, and another vrykul is close to the edge, you can quickly use Killing Spree and you may be ported back onto the platform. It's saved me a couple of times.

    Let me clear up something, during the LK fight Val'kyr spawn and pick you up and carry you out over the edge. Not Vrykul.

    Ive gotten disengage to work a few times,its definately worth the laughs in vent...hunters are op xDD

    Well not really, warlocks can use their portals too, hunters can disengage, mages can blink.. there's loads of ways to avoid this death....

    Yeah, I meant Vak'kyr, and Pietrina, disengage, blink, warlock portals, all not supposed to be used for things like this, they're all exploits too.

    An exploit, in video games, is the use of a bug or design flaw by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.


    A clever use of game mechanics :P


    Thats the diffrence

    First one is exploiting 2nd one is clever use of game mechanics
    Using an ability to survive something like this would be the same as a hunter disengaging from ship to ship in the gunship battle to save time on the Jetpack... not an exploit

    I don't think you're supposed to be able to teleport like that with Killing Spree, though.

    I don't really see this being useful tho... the "teleport" range of KS is pretty short, and if your guild is good enough to get to LK P2, your DPS should be good enough to DPS them down when the 3 of them are going in the same direction long before they drop someone. In a situation where you COULD get dropped, it's usually because a lone Val'kyr went the opposite direction of the other.

    I think using Intervene with this would be a better way to survive. Guess I'll test it today!

    and yet just about every other class can keep themselfs from dying so GG. flame more when this is working as it should, clearly blizzard made it so people with a brain could figure out they can avoid deaths.

    Its not an exploit until blizzard says it is an exploit to survive the valkyrs. Its clever use of game mechanics as pointed out earlier here. If it is working as intended, not sure about that.

    It is working as intended, just like using shadowstep causes you to teleport, disengage causes you to 'leap' backwards and Warlock portals...

    You CANNOT disengage or blink back onto the platform so stop acting like you are even up to lich king please you fails. And if you are being dropped off the edge im sure all of the other valks will be either dead or also dropping someone off the edge, so its kind of useless.

    This is a post to tell you that if you use your brain you can survive something quite simple, Its like posting that a rogue can cloak a frostbolt or a hunter can feign dead to loose aggro... besides what you're saying is quite simply just not correct, you can have the event where a valkyr decides to go opposite of the 2 others, or simply having lost a DPS due to unseen mechanics like not quick enough dispelling... TL;DR Remember when pointing a finger at someone, you have 4 pointing back towards yourself.... Have a good day.
