[IDEA]How to change your name (not the delete char way)

Well dunno if this has been posted before, or not, but this is the most secure way to change your name withount paying.

First off find a news article about any shit in some random country (here you can use this serbian website Vesti dana | Kurir )

Now first get the 2 friends to talk on a public channel saying that your name is linked to either some gang/criminals/dead people basicly anything thats not apropriate linking the website with the news, now most of the people in wow are english and wont understand a word on the website, some will say its bullshit some will belive it, now get the 2 friends to harras you in whispiers, and most likely some of the people who fell for the story will also send yuo insulting whispers.

Now send a ticket to a GM, say that your being harrased because of your name, that your name is linked to a gang/criminals/roasted kitten on a stick and link him the website, now blizzard doesnt accept GM's from serbia so 99% chances are he wont understand shit about what dose it say on the website either, so he will most likely change your name, if he asks about who is harrasing you either say the names of the people who fell for the scam or that you dont know because there are to many people to link.

Havent trying this really but it should work fine, its just an idea!

Does work, but is hard to do. Your friends would have to report you though about it. My friend told me about his mate doing this about half a year ago +Rep i forgot about this :P

yeah it is hard, but its either chose a few hours of work to change your name, or pay XX(dunno how much it is) dollars for it

I remember seeing a thread like this one, before the forum update. It was the same idea, but with you making a website of your own, with the char name as something negative.
Must have been removed during the update, can't find link. Well, I guess you can't say it's a repost then:P

My friends and I do things like this to get our names changed all the time ;]

Sometimes the GMs can be a little hesitant about it though, we normally use a story like for instance my friends name was "Solyn' and we were like Solyn is very insulting name for it is an acronym for "sh1t out of luck you n***". Things like that work, or also saying your name is a copy of an anime character of some sort can also work, since you are not aloud to copy anime names and what not.

Same idea... say you are being harassed for your name for some reason... and open a GM ticket. These type of posts belong in the WoW Scams section, or any post that involves "tricking" a GM is not an exploit.
