Drink/Eat while standing

Drinking /eating while standing up

Can be useful in arena...


Simply click the food/water, and a millisecond click a spell that requires you to stand up (like arcane explosion). You will stand up drinking eating for 4 sec, then sit down. To keep the effect going, reclick the food/spell. Takes a while to get it right.

Not a repost. There is another one about using mounts to drink standing, but that was from 2007 and this one is much more easy to do in arena.

I am clicking on the water and then instantly clickin V (arcane explosion)
The first attempt isnt so successful but at my second try I stand up drinking for a good 5 seconds. Not mind-blowing but sure could win you one or two arena games.


It is not about the possibility to not being critted, it is about starting to drink unnoticed in arena.

FYI in arena food / drinks dont come into full effect until you have been eating and drinking for either 5 or 10 seconds, hard to remember the patch notes.

This is not obvious and, as I said, you can continute drinking standing by redoing the steps. If it does not work to reclick the food in arena because of the minimum time to initiate the eating/drinking, it's at least 4 seconds drinking unnoticed and really helpful.

The "delay" with drinking is exactly 4 seconds, besides the obvious fact this is client only.

It's server side, but you don't get the effects from drinking untill after 4 Seconds.

I tred 4 times, in a duelm and cot crit 4 times in a row.

Either luck crits, or its a client side visual and you arent actually standing.

This didn't work for me, tried eating some mage food a few times (while the last dude was polymorphed).
