/AFK out no deserter AV?

I was in AV today and /AFK'd out after a double turtle. It did not give me the Deserter buff after I did these steps. Heftydogg has tested this again and it does work.

1)Ressurecting at Stormpike Graveyard.

2)typed /afk at around 7 seconds on the respawn timer.

Joined AV and just died to fall damage quick near the SP GY. /afk'd at ~5 seconds before res and went through the loading screen and ended up outside with no deserter.

This might be timing though, like you exit the av dead, so you don't get buff's / debuffs. But then the rest triggers at the loading screen?

I usually always just ALT+F4 myself and wait a couple of mins and log back in, and i'm out of the BG with out deserter.

Alt F4 FTW, I usually just alt f4 out cause it's a turtle match and I need to calm down a bit anyways cause alliance on my bg sucks ass.
