[Tutorial]Editing DBC

In this tutorial i will learn you how to edit DBC files.
For start we will start with something simple like editing item.dbc file.

Needed programs:
*Any dbc editor
*Program to extract DBC file from Client
* Microsoft Excel

Now programs that i use for DBC editing are:
*7DBC Tool
*MywarcraftStudio
*DBCtoCSV
*DBC editor
*Microsoft Excel 2003
*DBCutil

Now lets start by opening Item.dbc with any of those program for my example i will use 7DBC Tool.



Then make new row by pressing insert on your keyboard(only works in this program)

Now you will have new row but you dont know what each column mean so lets define it:
Index(random number) you can follow it or make unique like 200000
0- item id
1- class
2 - subclass
3 - field4
4 - quality
5 - displayid of item
6 - slot id
7 - flags

Now lets back adding new custom item...
in index id write new id of item in my example i will write 50000
Then in item id i will write custom id like 88000
Then in class 2 since its wep
subclass 15 its dagger
field4 i will leave it as -1
quality - 4 means its Epic
displayid - i will use new displayid 63051
slot id - 15 Main Hand
flags i will leave it as 0

Now lets see what we have done

Now you dont need to convert this to dbc since this program will edit dbc files.
Save this, pack into patch and give your players..Dont forget to add this also in arcemu/dbc folder or it wont work..

ANY DB EDITOR WILL DO THE JOB IF YOU KNOW IT HOW TO DO.Also if you have knowledge write one editor in VB
