Question about creating custom items

Ok here is my question i see you can make custom item sets at wow-v but there you can not keep your item bonus that are there originaly..i am wanting to take thin g like weapons and T6 raid set and just change the stats and change them to lengendary and add my signature at the same time keeping the set bonus on them like the picture i will be posting at the botom of the post from a private server i play on from time to time...Note this picture is the Warrior T6 raid set all they did was make it Legendary and changed the name a bit then changed the stats on it and put a signature at the bottom and it still has the item set bonus as well unlike how wow-v works do any of you know how i can do the same thing....


here is the picture of a pice of the set they made on this server if any of you know how to do this please help me out on this would appreciate it

hmmm they prolly did it manually via the databases in navicat or something by exporting from the t6 base item and then adjusted via notepad, and then imported back to navicat after they finished the changes.

The only thing they did was edit t6. Not hard to do. =/

warsheep basicly just asking how to edit an item and add my signature like they did.....LOL slyfox how do i edit an item like that ..

the real question is why would someone want your signatue on an item that u edited, i could understand it if u made the graphics and the stats for it, but its just a tweaked t6 base item, so its not really indicating any skill. and i guess i would start by looking around ur items table of ur db.

i looked at at the table i can find the items i want i tested on one item changing stats on it but when i added it to my bag was like i never changed the stats..but yoiur right no reason to add a signature to it like they did....do i need to make a new row and use the same ID number then just add the stats i want and use the same info for the item set bonus? also once im dont do i need to somehow resave the DB or will it just show and i can add the items to my bags?

no if ur making anything new, i would export the base, make the changes, its very very important to give it a unique entry ID#, then import the .sql back to items, thus it gets put in without messing up the original. and always write the entry ID # u used down in a notepad list of something so its easy to .additem <insert entry id here> or when making new things u don't overwrite your other work. and once u get done making it and getting it imported back to the db, i would suggest type .reload items within the game itself so it basically refreshes and uses the new info.

Make sure you delete your cache folder after editing and item.. If else, WoW will think its the same old Item.

ok thanks yall i will try that i tried to use wow-v then edit the sql file from them but that didn't work......how to i export the data of just one item for the edit?

haha yopu was right warsheep clear cache i did that and the item showed up how i wanted plus rep for everyone
