What is InSpire?

InSpire is a new innovative idea made by our very own Placeholder. The project consists of two parts, the control panel, and the database and servers.


What exactly does this panel do?

The control panel is a very diverse program that includes many features. These features include an easy and simple way to host a complete World of Warcraft server and an online downloading system that allows the host to download and update its core, database, and even download extra features made by other members of the project.


What kind of features will be available?

Many features that will be available contain some sort of story, all played out in a major event. Many of our features will be hosted on our own server you can play on! But that is not all; we also include much other content such as minigames, vendors, and other content, some even from other people outside the team! Anyone who registers to our forums and submits content can have it added onto InSpire.


When is all this available?

The project is basically at a standstill, where the in-game development team is inactive due to our lack of servers, and the coders for the control panel are constantly revising it, but we expect to have the panel and server done before the summer ends!


Why did we bother to tell you this?

We feel if we put out some word on the idea, it will put a bit of pressure onto us to finish this. If we remained in quiet, we would never get anything done. Soon we’re getting a dedicated server, so things should heat up within the next month. Plus, we felt you’d like to know.

Decent idea, but it doesn't need all those flashy little graphics. If it were for regular PCs that'd be fine, but a server is functional, it doesn't need flashy graphics, waste of resources.

If you're insistent on making it like that, at least provide an option to turn the graphics off.

I guess that can be done, but it's not really needed... It's pretty efficient as it is.

Efficient or not, it's still a waste, in my opinion. Couple questions for you

1. What language is it coded in?

2. Does it support multi-threading?

3. Which cores does it support?

4. How does downloading a new uh 'feature' work?

I guess we can give the option to choose no images... I don't it will be noticeable performance wise, though.

We are working on features and aslong as its not in alpha we are not telling anything more about the features

As for now the installation is made for aspire.
4. How does downloading a new uh 'feature' work?
You can choose tabs : events, malls, instances, raids, towns, quests, battlegrounds, arenas, items, npcs, objects

when you choose a tab a list with all the content pops up for example : The birth day of the lich king : when you choose it out of the list the details will be given and atleast 4 screenshots and when available a youtube video.

mhm we dont like to be simple. we like to make it more than just "looks fine"

We want "OMG that looks freaking awesome" please know we'v coded for more than 1 month. and the design is redone a day ago. so we are working on the desing

Mhm, It's alright for a restarter... But how would I go about adding the other stuff like the Download Content?

Download Content is basically a HUGE list of content everyone makes that you can click and view details about, and install.
