where are all the custom servers hiding?

i have been using and working with world of warcraft private servers for nigh 3 years now.

and im wondering something. WERE ARE ALL THE CUSTOM SERVERS?

maybe i missed a list or a site or somthing but so far no one has come even close to what i did by myself. i created a server with 200 custom items. 2 custom tiers not related to the ones that exist. i did 5 total instance conversions and 12 lua boss scripts.

i have never seen anything that even begains to rival my feeble and long defunct conversion attempt. am i the only one who sees wow as a amazing base for heavy customiztion? anyone else out there who loves the wow ui and engine but dislikes blizzards attempt to stoop to newbies playing levels (though i cannot condem them for this action as it makes them alot more cash)??

a friend of mine has proposed a pirate themed total conversion private server that would be a completly diferent game exept for the classes and races.

i have contemplated another raid oriented server like the first one i described.

i have also created a wow version of EVERY SINGLE diablo 2 white item (all 3 kinds) and all normal d2 uniques. but that project got tiresome.

if there are any like minds out there give me a shout out and lets share ideas. im gona to host a 20 player limit server that will be 100% new content and i want some input aswell as responses to any other part of this post.

Most servers are getting this notification from Blizzard which states, they must shut down their server or face legal issues.

Thus, your best option right now would be live.

Yeah from the rumors everyone is being shut down...
but it may not necessarily be legit..
then again theres no way to tell for sure.

first of all. and most importantly. blizz wont be able to find me becasue i dont need a website or advertising for a 20 man private server with a passworded hamachi server.

they dont care about people like me.
they care about the dumb****s who offer bliz servers with no other intention then letting people play for free or people who have a donation for items setup.

the way i see it its a good thing all the big servers are dying. live is damn good and if thats whut you wish to play then pay for it.

again. they wont shut me down because my server wont adervtise its 9 slots left after my rl friends make accounts. also like i said (but i must say again to stop stupid posters) my server wont get shut down and neither will yours. as long as you dont attract undue attention. like "oh my vote for us to be on the top 100 list of most blatent bliz like private servers".

also as far as legality goes i have heard from a very knowledgable (but not a lawer or such) friend that private servers are legal as long as money is not exchanged and they dont claim to be blizzard/world of warcraft.
although that could just be wishfull thinking on his sources part.

and finaly to end my giant wall o dont post stupid shit post. dont post hysteria of anykind unless u have fact checked it first.

Yup, its against their terms of service and always has been. Yet, before this no blizzard representive would ever do anything. I mean you'd get threats from little tools on servers saying they'll report but it was never effective.

Now days, the rumor is that their all getting 'legit' emails so its said.
