A little tip (Might save you from getting hijacked!)

Hey,
When I downloaded PiroX-bot, and after getting disconnected after an hour, I smelled something phisy, but I do love the bot so I had to find out a way to use it safely.

Which brings me to this -
When using 3rd party software, after some time you might not take precautions, which can lead to the worst of situations (Such as beeing hacked and so on.)

So, what am about to say is abit common-sense, but stilll - Easly overseen : )

If you are gonna leave the computer, maybe for work, school, sleep and so on, you really want your account to be 100% safe, so do the following:

When you fire up for your bot, and WoW - Log in, and then after you've successfuly logged in, go to the "Retrieve Password" on WoW's official site for either Europe or America -
That means that you will get a generated password (Which can't be found by the bot, because you havent typed it in anywhere) in your email, so that you can leave your computer knowing that there is absolutely no chance of your account getting hacked.

No, I don't tell you to enter any site. I tell you to go to WoW's official site, where you have account management and manually reset your password, so that you get a generated password via email. So you simply can't get hacked!

If you ment if I took this tip from another site, that is not correct either - Wrote it last night when trying to figure out a smarter way of using unsecure programs.


*Edit* I also cleared up the post alittle, wrote abit too fast last night! Hope it's more understandable now!

Still hackable if they know you email!

And once you log into the email, they have your email and PW. And than you type in the new PW, and they have that too.

If it's a keylogger it would record your WoW Username, Password and if you use this method it could get your SQ/SA and if you log your email to see the new WoW Password it could get the Email Username and Password.

So you wouldn't want to do this if it's actually a keylogger..

This is great advice, but I took it a step further and actually logged in to the WoW site and my email on another computer which is hooked up to a separate network. Doing it this way makes me feel a bit safer, though keyloggers are always a concern. I also refrain from setting the user name and password on the bot itself for relog. If I get disconnected oh well, it is free honor anyways, and I would rather lose out than get hacked.
