I am very sorry I offended you, I was out of line. And in my frustration with not getting the addon to work properly I lashed out. If you dont want to help me I understand, and if you will, I will greatly appreciate it. Sorry if the following questions seems stupid, but here goes.
1. By updating you mean downloading the "new" file you provided in the first post right? Then removing the old addon from the addons folder, and add the new updated one. And remove the saved variables. If so, then yes I did update. But it did not help for me.
2. If the above is incorrect, what is the correct way of updating?
3. Does "your" addon require that I install the official free version first and then overwriting it with your modded version?
And as a side not, just for testing purposes I deleted your version of the addon. And installed the free version from Curse, and that one does not show any error message. If that helps narrow it down.

That is where it goes wrong
People download the curse copy, that leaves out the paid content
Then that creates fee settings
This is what a lot of people do
Install from curse, install my addon on top. Then wonder why it is 1-20. When they made the addon only to be feee and not paid.
Then they delete the addon. Add the paid one. Keeping the settings for free. Then wonder why it is 1-20
Also classic goes from wrath to cata. They upgrade to cata and leave the wrath setting he. Then wonder why it is not full.
As for yesterday custom.
It showed you want the issue was. Cannot read custom because there was no file extension. So you go to the file, add the extension and that’s it.
It was easy because it told you extension was missing. So you say I am vague to tell you what you already see on screen. Then would think I am taking the poss by stating the obvious. Seeing the error tells you it, I would repeat the exact same thing.
Oh my, cheers!
