made an account just to say thanks, I used it in SoD but cant get the guides to load in Cata for some reason?

It is fully extacted?

Having the same issue on Cata pre-patch. Extracted into addons folder and the addon window pops up and says "Welcome to RestedXP Guides, Right Click to pick a guide" but no guides show up there.

Extracted is one thing
As a lot of people use the wrong or old software to extract a new file. Then wonders why it does not work.
Or installed it before and did not fully remove it. Then installing it and it does not show.

The guides show up in the files. I did this when you updated to wrath as well and had no issues. Not sure what i could be doing wrong or missing here?

Well there are multiple caused
Wrong archive software
Old archive software
Saved variables corrupted.
Saved variable are not deleted. Seeing going from 1 expansion to the next, it does not us the same saved variables. So trying to use wrath settings in cata. It will probably not work.

Got it working. I had the SilverDragon addon installed that was causing RestedXP to not work properly.
