Probably the most useless thread on this website, 100% working.
This is a really cool exploit you can do to anyone you want. I did this to some prick on my server and he got a 72 hour suspension.
*Do Not do this with your main account. Use a scammed account or something*
1. Log on your account and find the guy you want to ban (add him to friends)
2. Create a new character with a similiar name as the guy you want to ban
ex: his name is "Artharion" make a name called "Artharionalts" (you get the picture..)
2. In Trade channel type (WTS Spectral Tiger Code) make sure you scam somebody for about 1000g or more. Your going to want them to report you to a GM.
3. Now after you have the gold just simply mail all the gold to the guy you want banned. If he accepts the gold in the mail Both of you will get a suspension/ban.
But if he doesnt take the gold then your the only one whos going to get suspended. But honestly, whos not going to take 1000g in the mail lol? This is 100% working. The GMs think that your laundering money from your alt to your main. I tested this with my friend and it works.
So if someones pisses you off, get on a scammed account and get your revenge.
If he doesnt get banned then rinse and repeat.
Thanks for taking the time to read my guide.

All a GM has to do is trace the where the money was sent from. Bingo! banhammer.
So in theroy this wouldnt work. Yea i'd take the 1000g, who would a GM believe?
Waste of time thread.
thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts.
This "exploit" is just a social engineering tactic and additionally requires GM intervention. For both of those reasons, it does not belong in this forum.
GMs will ban both accounts and lock the scammed account... Happened to me
--- Thanks Enfeebleness
A) Scamming is bannable, and it WILL get you banned most of the time
B) Accepting free money from the mail is not bannable, even if it was scammed
This is fail
i dont need to. common sense tells you that taking stolen money is wrong. if it was real life and someone stole a credit card and gave it to you... you would accept it? and buy stuff with it? (of course we no this isnt real life but its just an example)
If someone on the street would give 500$ to you while just saying "Hey there, enjoy!", you wouldn't stop and ask "Hey, is it really really surely not scammed money, because I don't like stolen money!"
Like everyone else, you would take it without asking too many questions.
Well yeah, you can get banned for it, of course you can - As far as blizzards TOU go, you can get banned for anything. Even without any reason at all
Quote from TOU:
Account Suspension/Deletion.
BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ACCOUNTS AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or the EULA.
