Greatest Account Scam (Works 100%)

I have been in this community for too long and finally decided it was my time to give back to all the help i have gotten here. I dont know if this has ever been posted before, i couldnt find anything with the Search button so here goes. As we all know there are tons of guides and ways to scam or steal a Wow account. I have recently discovered a way that works everytime. Here it is:

What You Need:
-Wow Account (u need to have its email registered as yours)
-Two Emails (one that is registered with your account and another)
-Someone to scam who wants to trade for your account
-Fake Aim (so your real one does not get labeled as a scammer)


1. Ok first you need to find someone to trade your with you for your character. You can find victims on MD Account Buy Sell Trade WoW FFXI RS LoTRO L2 HGL MS SWG EQ2 WHO UO - Powered by UBB.threads™


2. Message them and exchange all the usual small talk in a trade (armory, lvl, server, gold etc..)


3. Once everything is worked out, you start the trade. You can do this however you want, usually start with exchanging the emails. What you do here is go into your wow account page and change the email to theirs and press accept. DO NOT CLOSE THE PAGE. Go back to the change contact info page and change the email once again, but this time change it to your alternate email. YOU MUST STAY LOGGED INTO YOUR WOW ACCOUNT PAGE FOR THIS TO WORK. Just minimize it till the end of the scam.


4. Open a new browser/tab and go into your email and click the confirmation link to change the accounts email to his. You should get a email from blizzard saying his account is changed to your email now (once he changes his account email to your email).


5. Now what you do is exchange passwords and SQAs (give him fake ones). Once you have his SQA do password recovery to make sure it works and to change the password to his account.


6. Go back to your email where you sent the email change confirmation. Open the confirmation to change your old account to your other email and click the confirmation link and it will change the email to yours on his account. YOU MUST STILL BE LOGGED INTO YOUR OLD ACCOUNT ON THE WOW WEBSITE FOR THIS TO WORK. If you are not still logged in it will not work and you would need the password to change the email.



7. Enjoy your new account and do with it as you please



Basic Summary:
Instead of just updating your account to his email, before you confirm it you send another request to update your account to another email of yours. Stay logged into your account. Once the scam is over you go back into your email and change the email on your account back to yours since your still logged into it.

O well if it is a repost, most people must not know about it then cause every scam i have read has something to do with sending them a fake email or not changing the email and it would make more sense and is a lot safer to just do it this way.

2 Things that kinda suck about this scam.

1) Timeout and Cookie Sessions play a factor on refreshing and POST data, if they change the password you get a corrupted cookie which means your locked out.

2) Remember it sends an email to them I believe now, which they have to click. *I am not sure if thats right, but alot of people have had that problem*

Thanks! Now the proud owner of a 70 Paladin... took his gear and money sent it to my char... he got his account back and has now quit WoW so i get to keep it w00t

I didnt think about it timing out. You should probably do this scam real quick to avoid it. BTW you should try and avoid giving your SQA because he would do pass recovery and it might mess everything up. Its better to give him your password then right after change the email back before he changes the password. I dont know whether or not it matters if he does change the password. I will test that variable tonight.

Ya that would kind of suck but hey you can always just recall it and hope for the best.

I updated it, you just give them a fake SQA and password and once you get their SQA it doesnt matter so just exchange them fast and the they wont be able to change the password to avoid any complications
