Ok well im pretty tired of being a leecher now - so although this is a pretty well-known method ... im using to methods put together (normal account scamming and some javascript )
First step.
Ok so check MarqueeDragon or someplace similar for an find a suitable victim - find someone that adds there MSN/Contact info in
there post and someone that seems legit (you need some common sense here). Add them to your MSN and make SURE you make
a note of which character(s) they are selling - Its so obvious when people dont even bother to make the effort and
cant "remember" which character's your selling - Make a note of it so you sound like your serious (Check pic1).
Pic1.
Second step.
Once the person is online and has accepted you talk to them like a person and gain some confidence Ask for the armory,
etc... spend at least 10-20 minutes explaining what you want to do with the character, what your plans are etc. -
DO NOT accept there original offer of $xxx amount. People are not stupid they will think your actually legit if you try and
barter them a bit and say thats too much, NEVER EVER pay over the asking price... ever. ALL scammers will usally
pay above and beyond the normal starting price, so never go beyond what they originally set-out price otherwise
this makes it way to obvious.
Third step.
Once you've discussed the price but you havent got to the stage were your actually going to make a deal,
ask the seller for some proof that he is that who he says he is (very important). Send your FAKE identification fist.
Use the following javascript on Paypal or any other BIG financial accication to make them think you actually mean business.
Use the following javascript in a browser then press "enter" and you will be able to edit any content you can see,
this makes it incredibly easy to change names and emails around on stuff like Paypal.
Make sure you click ANOTHER tab once you've finished so it comes up with the http://paypal.com stuff....
javascript:
Check the example below to see what i mean.javascript:nick=document.body;nick.contentEditable ='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0
This will give the seller confidence that your NOT a scammer and your using a verified PayPal account (which of-course your not).
This is VERY important... remember you can re-use the same picture for all of your scams. Try and get the other guy to send his
ID to you (Paypal etc) its quite important because it shows your bothered about BOTH of your security ... most scammers
wouldent go this far out to get hold of an account.
Third step.
Confirm a price with the seller and tell him that you've bought a few accounts before and you have a set of practices you follow.
Explain to him this is how the purchase is going to go..
1. You change your email over to mine
2. You give me the SQA and the Account Name
3. I do a password reset and verify the information on the account
4. I login and check the characters are there
5. Once I've seen characters are there - payment is made.
6. You send me your Photo Card ID (If possible) and CD-Keys.
Scenarios (This is usally the reply):
What if you just steal my account I wont be able to get it back?
"I understand your concern but unfortently this is the way I trade, I've done it this way lots of times because its both safe for the buyer and the seller. Just remember that you can re-call your account in less then 1minute with Blizzard."
"You can log into my character and check they are there?"
"Unfortently that isnt substantial enough evidence, I've had it before were people have let me log into an account and then sold me an actual
trial account with a level1 inside"
Remember to keep PRESSURE on the seller and keep saying "I understand your pre-cautious ... but im afraid this is my way of trading, I understand if you dont want to go-ahead"
Be cool and if he wants send him more Screenshot evidence (using the javascript) that your a legit buyer.
Once he agree's do things slowly and then Login to his account and then block him asap
Using this technique i've scammed a full t6 Rogue, I even made fake Paypal trasnactions to proove that I had traded with someone else (I just made another MSN account)
Thanks!
