holy shit it works... ok perhaps a bit too soon for celebrations.
after choosing a character from the login screen the game is just kinda stuck on the loading screen without any progression bar.

update: just removed the modded dbfiles ... seems to load now. Gonna try actual character model edits now.
update: actual character model edits worked . e.g. blood elf -> night elf. Gonna try to mod some animations now without editing the db files :/

any chance we can somehow get spell animations changes working ? changing them by editing spellxspellvisual.db2, but the game wont load after selecting a character for some reason

For editing related issues you have to ask other people. It's not launcher related

well... i mean there is a problem with some db2 files which cause your launcher not to work properly and i mean it worked before with jhs wow.exe. Ofc I cant say for sure that your launcher is not working properly since custom models and stuff is obviously working ... however it shouldnt be editing related since it worked before.


db files which do not work with the launcher (so far): CreatureDisplayInfo.db2 and SpellxSpellVisual.db2

I don't have any Windows 7 PC's left, but can confirm it works on Windows 10 Home, Fall Creators update 1709 with all the latest follow-up patches as of Dec 10, 2017 and for running WoW 7.3.2.25549
I am extremely grateful to the developer for this launcher, even though I still miss tmorph.
Seeing lululalaland's comments about db files, I don't know where those are or how to test them. I really don't know the innards of these programs, but I do enjoy the results of these contributors.

same as with the normal files. Get them with casc explorer and open them with Barncastles WDBX editor.
look up on wowdev wiki the single db files to find out which numbers mean what.
As i said before. To edit spell animations and spell visuals you have to edit SpellxSpellVisual.db2 which then again... wont load with this launcher for some reason. Perhaps still some barrier which came with 7.3 ... so far ive been looking everywhere for some answers however i couldnt find any yet. If anyone knows another way to edit spell animations and spell effects, feel free to tell us.
