[Guide] How to use WMO's of Northrend with NoggIT 1.3/1.4

Hi guys! Today im trying to spawn some wmo of northrend into Olds Maps moveable with NoggIT! And this method work!

    Tool Needed:

    -MyWarCraftStudio
    -WoWModelViewer (I use 0.6.0.3 Release)

    1. First of all, you need to search your wmo you want to add. Open WoWModelViewer and find. Remember the Treepath and name!

    2. Open MyWarCraftStudio and search your wmo.

    Example: World\wmo\Northrend\Buildings\Wyrmrest.wmo

3.Now copy the Treepath of your wmo in Notepad, and extract to a folder (like desktop) the wmo.

4.IMPORTANT: If there are other wmo's like: Name_001.wmo

    Example:
    World\wmo\Northrend\Buildings\Wyrmrest.wmo <- Main wmo

    World\wmo\Northrend\Buildings\Wyrmrest_001.wmo
    World\wmo\Northrend\Buildings\Wyrmrest_002.wmo
    etc, etc

You MUST extract them in the same folder where u extracted the 'Main' wmo! They are related with the 'Main' wmo!

5.It's very important to search the texture used into wmo. This part is hard and take a lot of time. (if any1 know how to find fast all textures, please explain it)

If i cant find all texture used, i open the wmo with Hex Editor (Like HxD Hex Editor). In the right side, u can see the texture needed (with Treepath).

6.When you have found all the texture, same process, copy the Treepath of your texture into Notepad and extract them.

    Now you have all!

7.Create a new patch-X.MPQ with MyWarCraftStudio and add your files.

Remember to add them with a Treepaths EXACTLY!

Now put your patch into wow 2.x.x data folder, spawn your wmo in the adt and your wmo are readeable by NoggIT!

I hope that this guide is helpful!

    Bye!

I agree that the textures are pretty hard to find. Especially when trying to spawn WMOs like Dalaran.

For finding them inside of the WMO: Why don't you just search for .BLP. As they are all in the same chunk, you will find them fast useing that.

The easier way would be: Just extract all blp files. Yes, you read right. Just extract them all and you wont need to find anything.

On emulated servers, they use a command line tool called MPQE. That one will allow you to extract all files matching a wildcard. If you use "MPQE .. *.blp" as well as "MPQE .. *.wmo", you will have everything within seconds.

Additionally, I would like to mention, that packing a MPQ is useless here. Just put them in \wow\. As there is that \WoW\World\ folder, you might guess, that NoggIt loads files from the disc too. So if there is a \WoW\World\wmo\Northrend\Buildings\Wyrmrest.wmo, it will load that one. That even saves you time on packing the MPQ.
