[How to] Load instances and dungeons to Noggit! (Emerald Dream and so..)

Loading instances and dungeons to Noggit

NOTICE: Don't use any instance edits in retail servers because if you do so you
WILL mostly get banned! (I myself am against using Model Edits for hacking)

This guide is for editing dungeons such as Emerald Dream and creating new places to instances

First of all you need to extract all the ADTs of the place you wish to be edited. The ADTs in the common-2.MPQ in
World\Maps\ so if you choose to edit Emerald Dream extract all the ADTs from
    World\Maps\EmeraldDream\
to your World of Warcraft folder.

Then you need download this program called Ant renamer (download)
After installing open it and select [Add files] then choose all your extracted
ADTs and click [Load] (or [Ok] w/e).
Then go to the [Actions] tab and select "String Replacement" from the list.
In the "Search for:" box type in the beginning of the ADT files, like from
EmeraldDream_1_1 you would take the part EmeraldDream and write it there.
In the "Replace by:" box type in Azeroth.

Then click the green (GO) button next from Actions and Log tabs.
    Let it finish.

Then go to the folder where your new Azeroth_X_Y.adt files are (where X and Y are random numbers).
Cut them all and move to this folder (if it does not already exists create it!)
World of Warcraft\World\Maps\Azeroth\. Check out one of the ADT numbers and write them down.

Open noggit and click on the map where you think the ADTs are going to be placed.
If you can't see the new ADTs just get yourself to the ADT number which you wrote down.

Edit the files you want, save them and then rename them back to what they were.

Haha, Xel, by now you should know that this will be widely regarded as such; :worthless:
    Tbh.

    Edit: Regardless;
    1. Emerald Dream isn't an instance or dungeon
    2. 95% of dungeons are single WMOs anyway, so you can only edit them with an object-fixing program such as 3dsmax or ArtofIllusion.

This will not work for PVP areas as there is an additional check against them in Noggit.

Most of deadmines is a WMO.
I suppose this does relate to Zul'Farrak.

I wonder if you could Replace places that are made up of an WMO, with lets say ZF, edit the portal. Rename etc. and build in that instance? Anyone wanna give it a try, since I'm busy with mapping atm?

Hey does anyone know where to download Noggit for Mac? PM me or contact at [email protected]
It's called the Questions / Requests section. You're currently viewing a thread created by Xel within the Guides / Programs section. Notice where you went wrong?
Persistence will cause infractions and an eventual ban - use the directed sections relative to your needs rather than flooding other sections, whilst bumping someone else's post.

Is there anything special I need to do for developers land (I have the maps)... it doesn't seem to be working.
Another question, is how can I make sure Noggit looks in the WoW folder I want it to, rather that the first one it finds, since I have quest a few.
