[Question]How do I get the proper animations after a model swap? menu

    [Question]How do I get the proper animations after a model swap?

    I'm trying to change druid cat form into a raptor, and I got the model/skin working but when I jump, the raptor doesn't use the jump animation it's supposed to. It just flys through the air in the standing animation. So what did I miss while doing this edit, or if there's a guide already up that covers it, would someone be kind enough to point me to it?

    If the model itself already has the animation, then it should trigger.
    Try playing with AnimationData.dbc, I never really played much with animations.

    The model viewer lists a jump start, jump, and jump end for the model I used and all the other animations show in game except that one, so idk what's up with it :confused: I'll try what you suggested, and thank you

    Well, I've tried looking around this site as much as I could and even googling for info, and I just can't seem to find any info on what could be causing this problem for me, let alone how to fix it -_- Idk anything at all about dbc stuff, and all the guides I found on here either were showing how to swap models with dbc or had something to do with armor/weapons, which I don't think would help much (If I'm wrong, please let me know and I'll go study em).

    Does anyone know either what my problem is or even a good place to start learning about how the dbc stuff works?

    switching the animations via m2modder and animationdata.dbc should work. I've never done it so i cant really help u out

    Well I found out I must have been mistaken in thinking the model I was using had its own jumping animation, so I guess the question now is if it is possible to put, say, the riding raptor jump animation onto the non-mount raptor model and if that would require the MEF? Your post makes it sound like it is possible to do that but if it would require the MEF, I don't know if I want to do it.. plus I still don't really know much of anything about dbc editing lol

    Sorry for all the questions... -_- But where can I find the m2modder program? I've done some google searches and looked through this site, but everything I've seen related to m2modder never had a download anywhere (unless I missed it, which I'll admit is very possible).

    Okay, well I got the program running and poked around the model file with it.. Looks like there just is no jump animation for it (sorry I was wrong on that). Am I right in thinking, then, that's there's no way to add a new animation to it, or at least no way that's within my amateurish grasp?

    I did have the thought that maybe it's possible to use the riding raptor model instead since that has all the animations I'm looking for, but I'd have to get rid of the saddle and reins.. Not quite sure how to accomplish that, though
