[Question] Model Editing and Server Hosting

Alright I was looking through the Model Editing forums and downloaded tools and started messing around with simple model changes etc. and had an idea.

I have MaNGOS and the appropriate services / software to run a WoW server and was wondering if a model-edit could be done and released as a custom patch-z.mpq used by a private server. It would take a little DB tweaking but I think it could be done without to much of a hastle.

This could be the start of new worlds people...custom items, custom maps, hell custom races and skills would be possible if put effort into.

Am I dreaming, or should I continue working on this?
