    [Question] Change sound?

    Hello guys,

One simpel question i want to ask is if i can change the sound of the weapons.
For example i want to give my chaned Hammer of the Naaru to Ashkandi the sound of the sword so that the Ashkandi gives up the sound of swords and not the one of the mauls.

If i can change it in the sound.mpq or something like that i also need hex codes and i also have to search for the sounds.
So how to? Is it possible?

    Greetings

    Re: Change sound?

    Way 1:
    - search for the sound in one of the .mpqs. Should be a locale-one or some patch ... dunno by heart.
    - swap them.
    - done.

    Way 2:
    - have fun dbcing WeaponImpactSounds.dbc and WeaponSwingSounds2.dbc
! problem: no documentation on those files xP

so try way 1. its easy. just extract them and listen until you've found them.

??? How to search the sounds^^ i never have seen sound files in a folder.

    - swap them.
How? I just know how to change armors and weapons. My way of think is that i that i search the sound i want to change so mace sound to sword sound. So i search for the sword one and take the stats to the mace on.
This in theory but in practic
    - done.
    Not really

It doesn't. That file don't exist anymore, the names of the .mpq's have change severely.
