A question for the Mac model switchers out there...

Is it normal to have trouble switching out models and WMOs using the Mac "patch-enUS-5.MPQ" method? I can successfully switch out spell models and terrain textures, but whenever I try to switch models or WMOs, WoW just quits on me about halfway through loading. Is this a missing texture problem or something? I thought that I switched the necessary textures as well, but maybe something went wrong...

EDIT: After further expirimentation, I can swap creature models/textures just fine, but not the models for inanimate objects, doodads, and WMOs - texture changes on the latter three work fine. Weird.
