    Re: Possible to convert m2 files to BLP ?

    @schlumpf: Yes.

    @XxCynic; Allow me to explain the difference between the two.

    A model/M2 file is the 3D representation of the object/spell/creature/character/anything 3D.

    The texture/BLP file is basically a picture that is put onto the model/M2 to make it look like it appears in-game.

    So, lets say you have a model and texture for a cat. The model is that of a cat, and if you don't put a cat texture on it, it gets really weird. Let's say you apply a kodo texture to a cat model. The texture will fold around the cat, and since there is too much texture for the cat model to hold properly, the texture will be distorted. Inversely, if we put a cat texture onto a kodo model, there would not be enough texture to apply to the whole kodo, and the texture gets stretched over the entire kodo. That would look bad.
