question about the armor plating on armored epic mounts

I could just try this to confirm my suspicions but I figured I'd ask here anyways in case someone else had the same question.

I have a human rogue. I've always wanted the ZG epic tiger mount. I want to swap my human's regular boring horse for the ZG tiger. I know how to do this mind you, but here's what I want to know. The armor plate on the tiger's head, as well as the seat, is made up of a few different model files. When I swap the horse model out for the ZG tiger mount, even thought the ZG tiger mount file will be renamed, will the model file itself know to use the armor files? Or will i get a tiger with no armor plating?

I'm guessing the ZG tiger mount file will still use the armor files, so tell me, am I wrong?

If the tiger has more textures than your mount, then you'll have to do it with DBC.
If it has the same number, then it's okay, it will know how to use the files by itself.

Not sure I understand. my current mount is a plain horse, my rigue is lvl 47. if I'm understanding you, then I won't get an epic looking mount correct?

If the one you are switching to requires more textures than the one you are replacing it will not display properly without some M2 editing or DBC editing.
