Hello there
I hope this is the right place for me to ask this, I'm sorry if it's not.
I wanted to edit several models (character models), and I have the same problem with each of them. I extracted the M2+skin, converted it to M2I with M2Mod, made changes in Blender, exported it to M2I, converted it to M2 and finally put it into a MPQ and loaded it into WoW. So far so good. As long as I only stand around nothing happens, but when I emote, attack, mount, etc. WoW crashes.
I have this problem with each model I edited and I don't know what's causing it. So I made the following (today):
Extract M2+skins from MPQ (Draenei Female from art.MPQ)
Convert to M2i
Import into Blender (I made no modifications!)
Export to M2I
Convert to M2
Put into MPQ
Notice, I did not change anything. I only converted the model file. But still, WoW crashes the moment I emote etc. I copied all animation files into my new mpq, just to be safe. So it's not that I messed something up with my edits, it has to be something else, maybe I missed something. I hope you can tell me what I missed, or did wrong.
M2Mod ini:
[options]
#IgnoreMaterials = 0
#IgnoreBones = 0
#IgnoreAttachments = 0
#IgnoreCameras = 0
[debug]
ShowVersion = 1
#Verbose = 2
I used Ladiks MPQ Editor 3.2.2.669, M2Mod v4 2011.04.28, Blender 2.49 and Python 2.7.2.
And of course, I have the latest patcher from VX2. I have "Disable mfil check" and "disable signaturefile checks" checked.
