[Question] Wotlk Music > Cata Music?

Hello,

I recently stopped playing retail wow because it was sucking up all my money D:
So a friend was (still is) playing on a PV (Ravencrest) and he asked me if i wanted to join him then, All fine then i guess, had to reinstall because it uses a 3.3.5 client ;)
The only problem is, i dont like the wotlk music, i liked the cata music better.
I know that not all of the music is replaced but alot is,
So, i have no idea how to replace music in MPQ's, And i dont know anything about replacing, editing, etc.
So i came here to ask if somebody Pléase, wants to make a patch for 3.3.5 replacing the wotlk music files that got replaced with the cata music.
I would be VERY grateful, i will also +rep you if you do it for me (could you tell me how to +rep someone? this is my first time here..), I would be very very grateful :D

It is possible, but depends on what music you want. City and zone songs? Replacing all sounds would be a while but is do able. Tell me what types of songs you want changed and I'll be glad to help.

Yep, just a long process and I've been working on releasing High Elf patch lately plus at the same time am finishing remodeling all of Tirisfal. I take breaks from my main topic ( Tirisfal) to get you your patch as soon as possible. Lot of songs to transfer and rename. But I'm managing.

There is a thread with a cataclysm logon screen + all capital cities with cata sounds, Just enter the folder and remove everything else then the sound DBC, and then you have the sounds without any addons, this works for 3.3.5

The WOTLK client uses a lot less sound files for zone music which makes it more knit picky to get the correct sound files, an example of this is the cata client having sound files for feralas but the WOTLK client borrowing music from another zone such as the plains (Mulgore) sound folder.
