    [NoggIt] Wow-Error when re-texturing existing ADT's

    Hello MMOwned.

I am working on a new version of wow, and I am currently working on new and old areas to play on... according to the new lore we invented, the old areas has been burned down and melested by the burning legion..

    BUUUUUUUUUUT

When I try to re-texture the old areas. It gives me a wow-error when I enter them in-game.

Is it because I have to delete the ADT's from the old MPQ files or what?.

I have seen other people re-texturing it. So it kinda makes me go Q_Q when i cant do it

Why did you change the original files?

Never do this. Just put your changed files into a new MPQ file called patch-4.MPQ and put this into your wow/data directory. Uppercase MPQ is imported!
WoW will then load the files from this MPQ last and use them instead of the original ones.

I think you have to reinstall your client if you have no backup.

Ehm what exactly are you talking about? .....

I didnt edit my old files, it's all in my new patch, but it crashes my wow when i go near the area..

My question was if I had to edit my old files, but I don't I see..

    EDIT:

I can only make new areas out in the sea without it crashes, but if I edit, for example: Durotar, it goes PEWPEW and crashes my wow!

We edit the files in a folder-structure on the HD and build a patch every time we change something.
So i never edited an existing MPQ.
If your client crashes if your got near this adt it is corrupted. How did you change the file?
