Race Swapping

Hi,

I've tried race swapping for quite a while now, spent roughly 3-4 days checking what I did through, I'm a real noob since I use to model edit back in BC and so I've never done it in WOTLK. I'm looking for some noob help, and I greatly appreciate all help, so thanks in advance

Well you see, the thing is. I've downloaded Kynox' model editing fix for 3.1.3 and afterwards I've downloaded MERF's race-to-race conversion
Okay, so far so good. I extrat wowme into my wow folder and afterwards I open up MERF's pack and find the tauren -> [insert class here] .MPQ file

Then I enter my Data folder and in the first directory I put in whatever race I want to be, I drag in the file from MERF's race conversion and type in for example patch-b.MPQ

Then I open up wowme hit F8.



I use Vista, and I've even tried several other race-swap files. Not only from MERF.

I'm using vista as well and I have encountered some problems as well but I was able to find a few patches that work, I believe I'm using the same version of ME Fixso most likely the problem is with MERFs pack, the patches may not be up to date as most i've seen are not. There is also a chance that the problem is because you didn't name the file correctly, generally it only works in this format patch-X.MPQ all capitalized except for patch. The X can be any letter of the alphabet or a number.

There seems to be a problem when trying to use more than 1 conversion at the same time but it has a lot of conversions and they're the best i've seen.

Basically download the 1 you want, I believe they are all already in correct format, drag it into the Data folder, run WoWME and hit F8 at the loading screen.
