TBC ADT's to WotLK ADT's

Is there a way to change TBC ADTs to WotLK ADTs?
For example, I have editted map files from tbc, but they dont wotlk in wotlk anymore

Normally, they should work. WoW always has been backwards compatible.

Give us a specific example, where it didn't.

I actually had a problem with some areas. I think its Azeroth_31_35.adt and anywhere in the Fatigue area around the ocean there. No changes would load at all but a hole I cut in the shore of hillsbrad worked fine. Perhaps I just corrupt the .ADT somehow, passing it back n forth between Noggit n Taliis may not be a good idea.
