[Question] Can't get mont edits to work help please!

So I'm pretty new to model editing but so far the only thing I've done is race to race. I know to just stick the mpq file in the data but today I tried downloading a mount reskin and did the same thing (put the mpq in the data) except when I logged on and mounted up I just got my original one. If it matter I'm using the Reins of the Black War Tiger. Help much appriecited.

Are you using a Model Edit fix?

Make sure the file should be named patch-X.MPQ, Where X is a number from 3-9

also the number or leter on the patchs and the mpq has to be in caps other wise it dosent work

i.E

patch-x.mpq
should look like this when in the data folder
patch-X.MPQ

Mine says amaniwarbear.MPQ and I'm running WoWME.exe

that mpq rename it to patch-A.MPQ should work

You cannot call your .MPQ's custom names. You have to make it called like this:

patch-(a number between 3-9 or letter from a-z).MPQ for example:

patch-r.MPQ

My file name is exactly patch-A.MPQ and its not working. Does it matter if I'm race changing plus mount changing? Is there anything small I'm missing like needing an amani bear to change the colors of it?
