wowme is being really odd please read if you have any wowme knownladge

I've been using wowME for about 5 patches now, and come the release of the 2.4.1 wowME fix, I've been having some really odd troubles with the fix. To start this off, my character is a nightelf male. I have downloaded the full race conversions for night elf males and the only ones that will work for me are named "patch-5.mpq" this makes me be able to only turn my character into a female tauren, undead, or orc. Naturally I tried renaming the other patches to "patch-5.MPQ" and my character is unaffected by the model change. so after trying pretty much everything I know to troubleshoot this problem, I figure I would ask you guys for some help. if anyone can think of anything that would help I would really be thankful.
