Video shows character only model edits?

It seems that there is no way to change the race of your character without at least doing the same to every other character, but this random arena video

shows after the first minute an UD male changed into a dwarf. His teammate and opponents, all UD males, were unaffected.

Later on it shows a match from his teammates perspective which shows him as a dwarf, though the teammate was still undead. I'm really confused by this, does anyone have an explanation? o_O

Maybe there's a dwarf costume buff. In that case you can switch any of your common buffs to the costume buff. I also vaguely remember seeing a guide for personal only swaps.

Orb of Desception? ._: But well .. its possible to change only your character.

Changing only my own character's Moonkin form to a Tauren:


No other moonkins have been effected .. I was too stupid to get an other player here ..

Shows them doing arenas while the models are changed though, which really puzzles me (Orb and such wouldn't work, and for UD orb changes into NE). The costume buff that Grym pointed out could be possible, though he's retaining his s2 set.
