You don't open the file you download, you simply put it in your world of warcrat/data folder and rename it to patch-Z.MPQ , or any letter in place of Z.

I have a great modeledit, but it's outdated. Would you mind if I asked you how you update these, since my old modeledit shows many mobs as cubes and such, and any hat newer than T9 shows up weird.

There is a sticky in the guides section, look for how to helm fix, and also the reason why you see cubes is because your edit has a size fix, which is CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc, you need to look for a guide on how to size fix. Or tell me what edit it is and I can do it in 2 minutes.

So, if I understand correctly, I would just have to re-do the sizefix and hatfix? Hehe, I was searching around for quite a while on "update model switch", no wonder I didn't get anything.

It's the BeF-GnF from this thread, which I found by following the link in your old thread. But if it's as simple as I think, I'll try it out myself. Thanks for the help.
