I know what you mean. Here is how i started, in case you dont know: find model swap that you want, such as DrF -> Bef (that is what i did)
Get a MPQ editor (just google that)
Open up 2 windows of mpq editor with one as the Model swap and one as the model edit.
In the model swap page, go to the character-drainei-female folder and get rid of the DraineiFemale00.m2 and the DraineiFemale00.skin
Copy the 2 files from the BeF mod into the folder you just deleted the other two files, and rename them for the race/gender combo you used
That Should work for you, if you need any help with that, just send a PM, I will be glad to help. Seeing as how this is the only thing i know, ill be happy to master it
I put the BIG file into my Data folder and i'm not getting any results.
Any suggestions?
Are there any... Dranei ones?
awsome. this works great with my Blood elf warlock.
+Rep when i can xD
+repped for the most awesome edit ever
But since I'm a damn noob at modelediting could some1 make a HuF to BeF edit with ScDK's edit? Already tried it myself but I failed hard. Ofc I'm gonna +rep the first one.
*Edit* Ok nvm got it working after some hours^^

not working for me. it just makes my BE all crazy and glitchy
how are you supposed to open a 7z file? i dont even know that extension. [on osx], and is there any chance of you making this available for other races instead of just bes?
You can open it with winrar, which you can get from WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

Does anyone know why mine is all messed up? My toon just glitches up when I use this.
.7z files are originally made by 7-zip, which is my new favorite compressing software, since it's free and has a higher compression than WinRAR's .rar files.
As for your model being glitched, i still don't understand what causes it, as i had the same issue with people with the V1 and V2 aswell. The model is from the 3.2.2 client, so there shouldn't be any issues, and those who have 'em are kinda on their own...
Need you to answer a few questions so i can dig through possible causes.
1) Are you using WoWME or playing the game without? (afaik, you don't need it anymore)
2) What client of WoW do you have? Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King?
3) Also, 3.2.2 alright, but what language version? (check Data folder, there's a subfolder with the name i need, in my case it's called "enUS")
4) have you any other custom MPQs in your WoW's data folder?
Here's the files that belong there by default:
- common.MPQ
- common-2.MPQ
- expansion.MPQ
- lichking.MPQ
- patch.MPQ,
- patch-2.MPQ
All other files in that order are custom, and a) shouldn't be there when patching your game (as it causes errors later on), b) could interfere with this edit, although shouldn't.

how do i download the file so it has 3 parts for me choose from? because it downloads the whole thing as one big file which is not a folder and i copied the file anyway in the enUS folder but it does nothing so im not sure if its not working (due to needing a folder) or if im supposed to find an option for it which i cant find if so
ok i was finally able to get this to work i had to download the 7-zip application and download the file to that location and i had to rename patch-BIG to patch-b but it finally worked

the file is a compressed archive which you need to unpack first... inside are all 3 versions, of which you take ONE, RENAME it from it's descriptive name (patch-small/normal/big) into something like patch-a.MPQ (uppercase required at the end), then place that into the Data subfolder.
You'll need to use WinRAR or 7-ZIP to extract the archive's content.
