Shaman Totem twisting macroo

Most shamans should know about totem twisting, Its where you place one totem down, like Windfury, and then replace it with another totem to get both buffs at the same time.

This works great in 5 mans if you are a caster but you have more melee in your group and dont want to sacrifice your Wrath of air totem

Just make a macro that does

/castsequence reset=5, Windfury totem, Wrath of air totem

Just push this button once for windfury totem and then again for Wrath of air totem, Your party now has windfury for 9 seconds and you have your 101 spell dmg and healing. Just repeat this every 9 seconds for a nice DPS boost.

It does take some paying attention and I find it works best with healing spec'd shamans since there is enough time in their casting to take the time needed to put down both totems.

You can also replace it with Grace of air totem for the 2nd one if you are an enhancement shaman or dont need the healing and spell damage as much.

<Good post> Just one problem...Windfury is about 300 mana with -25&#37; mana cost, and Wrath of Air is about the same.

Doing this cycle would deplete your Mana if you're pullin out 600 mana per 10...

It's not that expensive, for 2 min (duration of totems) you gain the mana lost back with your mp5 or when you pop Shamanistic Rage (for enhancement). It's important to have the Totemic Focus talent in order to save mana while re-spawning them during boss fights.

Personally with Water shield and Imp mana spring totem with resto tree i never run out of mana when doing this rotation, even while healing.

shouldnt the reset be 3? 1.5x2 for GCD

totem twisting is in no way mana efficient, but it should never be used in situations wher mana is your god (pvp, some pve fights)

other than that, do it and chog down those mana pots !

This is kind of pointless seeing as how totem twisting is getting killed in 2.4,
