    Guide to Paladin Arena Teams

Tip #1: Fights at 5v5 arena always require an intense healing so you have to start casting a healing spell when your ally's health is lowered to 95%. At that moment he is almost full, in a sec he could be dead.

Tip #2: The main paladin's healing spell in arenas is Holy Light (with Light's Grace talent it has only a 2 second casting time). Flashes of Light could be used if your ally is poorly attacked, his health is critical unless you have low mana.

Tip #3: Divine Illumination, the 41st talent in holy tree is a must have for any support paladin. In intensive fights it saves tons of mana and you should always switch it on right before Holy Lights casting session.

Tip #4: The best buff for any classes is Blessing of Kings because it gives a stamina bonus and will save your allies many times. But watch for your casters. If they run out of mana give them Blessing of Wisdom.

Tip #5: Blessing of Freedom should be on your warrior most of the time in battle. There is nothing worse then your uber geared buddy walking around slowly unable to hit anything.

Tip #6: Try to stay aside from hot battle spots but dont go too far, so you should be able to reach your allies with heals. When healing is not needed - move and try to take a new spot. Dont stay the whole fight in one place.

Tip #7: Always wear PvP trinkets and use it to get out of polymorph or fear spells. If the group needs support and you were blinded/feared/poly'ed, don't wait until the effect wears off. Use divine shield and start healing. Its always better to waste cool downs early then to see your allies die.

Tip #8: Under divine shield ALWAYS heal your group first and then yourself. Even if you have 1% health left.

Tip #9: Dont forget that your offensive spell Holy Shock actually heals friendly target instantly. Its very handy when you cant stay still and heal or when urgent healing is needed.

Tip #10: Try to look not only at health bars of your group, but at battle field also. If you see enemy's healer casting, stun him with Hammer of Justice. Try to use HoJ every time when its on. Especially on healers and targets that your group is focusing on.

Tip #11: If enemy's group has a mage, always use Blessing of Sacrifice on one of your allies that is going to be attacked. This will prevent you from being chain polymorphed. Dont cast BoS on warrior though - he will need Blessing of Freedom.

Tip #12: Change your auras according to enemy group's make-up. Standart aura is Consentration that should be improved via Protection talents. Against few warlocks or shadow priests - Shadow Resist Aura. Against 2 and more mages - Frost Resist. If you dont know which aura to stay with - use Consentration. Devotion Aura is almost useless.

Tip #13: Blessing of Protection- Put it on your group memebers at right time and it is often a key to victory. Watch for all debuffs and if you see one of your allies is massively attacked with Mortal Strike and poison debuffs on him - use BoP. Dont wait till his health drops to 5%.

Tip #14: Paladins are rarely attacked first thus its better to use healing/mana regen gear then defensive stuff. Your class is the most mana efficient in game and in right set you will be able to heal long after priest's and druid's mana have gone. But 8000 health self buffed is minimum amount for 5v5 arena games.

Tip #15: Paladin's primary task is not only healing, but dispelling any nasty debuffs and crowd control spells. You may leave warlock's dots but should always dispel fear, polymorph, blind immediately.

Tip #16: Damage is not your priority, though if healing is not needed you may help with DPS. Holy Shock, Judgements, Hammer of Wrath are your main offensive abilites. Use them if you can. But forget about them if your group needs support.

Tip #17: Most of the times its you who should watch for your healing spells reach the target. Move with your group, dont wait until they come back to you to get a heal. But if your group keeps running from you and doesnt listen about "Line of sight" - find another one.

Tip #18: ALWAYS use Ventrilo or Teamspeak. It helps when your conterspelled, blinded, etc. So your secondary healer knows he should heal hardcore while your out of the fight.

Tip #19: If enemy group has stealth classes, use rank 1 Consecration spell. This will help you prevent sap in the beginning of combat.

Tip #20: Watch those 2 movies to understand how paladin should play support role:

Very thorough guide I must say, +1 rep

However I would like to add that using hammer of justice to offensively cc enemy casters is also a good idea

There's 1 thing you should change though, blind isn't considered a poison, you cant dispel it anymore =(
