Picking the color:

I did this using photoshop, just double click the color swatch at the side and pick a color, at the bottom of the color picker page is a number, thats what you'll need.



Changing the note in the LUA file:

Open the file Mike.lua in any text editor (I used wordpad), the part in the quotation marks (after note =) is the part that will be used as the guild note, to set color into this, use the formula |cAARRGGBB, or if you used the color picking method above |cAA<the>. AA is the alpha, in most cases you will want this to be FF, so people actually see the text. If you wish to change colors midway through the message, just put in another |cAARRGGBB followed by the text.



Making it show up in WoW (In the public guild note spot):

Open WoW, log in, make sure the addon is enabled.



Once your in, open the social page.



Click on the guild tab



and click a players name, this will be the person getting their note changed.



Type in the command /gnote public



Press enter.



Making it show up in WoW (in the officer note spot):

Pretty much the same as the public spot, except the command /gnote officer is used.



Making it show up in WoW (in the message of the day):

Log in, type in the command /gnote motd

it's not clientside only, i can ensure you that all guild members can see it

Nice . Would it be possible to link items in different color or talk in general chat or something in different colors aswell ?xD

thats item spoofing, got fixed in 1.11 if im not mistaken. There you could link fake items. if you try that now, you will get a DC.

i saw someone link "paris hiltens braa" in general chat with epic color and when i clicked it Felheart horns appeared
