Get your Very own Captured Firefly

Here is some info on how to get a Captured Firefly pet. The firefly is the only pet other than Mr. Pinchy that drops in outland as far as I know. The Captured Firefly pet ONLY drops off of Bogflare Needlers in Zangarmarsh. This is a perfect place to sit and grind from 60-64 if you have patience and like to grind on one type of mob. These mobs also put a debuff on you that increases Strength by 5% for a certain amount of time so melee have it good. These pets sell for a ton of gold on most servers I managed to sell one on Medivh for 800g and one on lightnings blade for 600g, so this will put you close to a regular flying mount before you even hit 65. Here is a map of where the needlers spawn. I would suggest going south to north along the lake, by the time you are done with the last mob to the north they will have started popping in the south. They also drop a gray item every kill and seem to have a decent green drop rate. This is also great if you want to be smart about how you get Cenarion Expedition rep, These drop a lot of unidentified plant parts that will take you all the way to honored. By turning these in up to honored without touching quests you will get close to revered by just questing. I apologize in advance if this has already been posted. My eyes started to bleed after looking.

I killed 3 fireflies and the pet dropped, I was not even farming for it. Nothing like an easy 600g!

lol i got 2 in under one hour when i was there, but they sell for 400g on my server not much but i need the money and well i don't really see the point in these rare pets......much prefer the money. But i suppose people in there basements that play WoW 24/7 want them

Ive been playing on LB since release, Played a Horde druid Pre TBC but sold the account. Also had a lvl 70 draenei shaman on medivh that I sold lol...
