Guide: Gold (Easy Alchemist Gold)

For all you alchemist/herbalists out there, there is a level 37 quest in The Badlands where you are required to bring a vial of Frost Oil to the individual to complete the quest. This quest is for ALL classes/professions etc. So if you're an herbalist level 195 or higher, and alchemy 220 or higher here's a way to make some great cash.

Frost Oil requires the following ingredients:
4 Khadgar's Whisker
2 Wintersbite

Khadgar's Whisker is available widely in Stranglethorn Vale (home of Booty Bay), it is the densest area by far for picking this specific herb. Review the following thottbot map for a general idea of locations of the herb. Mobs in northern Stranglethorn Vale are level 30-35 or so, so level 30 or better is recommended to farm this herb. However, you can spot the herb from the relative safety of the road, so lower.....braver levels can farm this area successfully as well.

Wintersbite is found only in the Alterac Mountains on the Eastern Continent. Refer to the following thottbot map for the general locations of where Wintersbite grows.

So after farming these herbs for a few hours, you can sell each INDIVIDUAL potion for 1.5 gold-2 gold at the AH! The quest in the Badlands which requires the Frost Oil gives some great XP, and non herbalist/alchemists HAVE to purchase the potion on the open market..........so take advantage!

Another way to get rich as an Alchemist/Herbalist at a LOWish level is to sell Swiftness potions at the AH for about 1g each. The recip[e can be bought at AH for a lot or its a rare drop in NE land. (Maybe Darkshore but I got it next to Darnassas)
