Make extra gold while farming Blade's Edge Plateau

As the title suggests, I'll explain how you can get some extra cash while questing/farming Blade's Edge Plateau.

Location:

Blade's Edge Mountains
Subzone
Blade's Edge Plateau (BEP from now on)

How to:

While doing daily quests/farming in BEP people are bound to receive or loot Apexis Shard - Items - World of Warcraft. Allthough they stack to 250, they serve not much use in very large quantities.

At Honored with Ogri'La however; players can purchase Red Ogre Brew - Items - World of Warcraft and Blue Ogre Brew - Items - World of Warcraft from Jho'nass the Ogri'La quartermaster.

So I hear you thinking, 'instead of an item that stacks to 250 we now get an item that stacks to 5' ... bare with me please.

The beauty of the items you just purchased for Apexis Shards is the fact that they can be sold (even to the same vendor ;-) ). I know that for some classes it might be better to keep some in their bags, but other classes could sell them all.

I know people won't make hundreds of gold per hour from this, but for the epic bird everything helps and the shards even come in from the daily quests alone.

I think the epic boots when your exalted can be disenchanted (If it hasn't been fixed yet) into 1-2 void crystals.

The pots sell for 7s individually and cost 3x Apexis Shard. There are 3 daily quests that all give 15 (hope i'm correct on that..) per quest. If you just do these quests each day and then turn the shards in for pots:

15x3= 45 shards a day

45/3=15 (ofcourse lol)

15x7s= 1g5s a day.

Doing this for a week would grant you (Roughly..) an extra 7g35s. That may not seem a lot but hey, all the little bits help

[Edit] Thottbot gave me the information for this. The mana pots, according to thottbot, sell for more than the health pots. I am currently not playing my 70 anymore (L68 rogue) so I can't check if it's exactly correct..

The mana pots indeed sell for more, but this is simply because they cost 3 Apexis Shards as opposed to the health pots who cost 2 Apexis Shards. The value per shard is the same though.

For me this has brought me more then 7G35s a week as I farm a lot for the Badge of Tenacity so I get loads of shards from all the kills.

So all in all BEP is a nice farming spot if I add the vendor drops, the shards and the occasional green/blue.

Yea it depends if you just do the daily quests or actually farm for it. I don't see it could be that profitable to actually farm shards to do this. But just using your daily shards could be nice.

the tabard costs 10 apexis shards and sells for 30s

yah, hate to break it to you but tabard sells for more to vendor... lets say u have 30 apexis shards, you can buy 10 mana pots and vendor for 70 silver, or you can buy 3 tabards and vendor for 90 silver

Tabard = 10 Apexis Shards = Vendors for 30s

Mana Pot = 3 Apexis Shards = Vendors for 7s

Accodring to Wowhead the Tabard (10 Apexis Shards) vendors for 23 silver Ogri'la Tabard - Items - World of Warcraft

The mana pot (3 Apexis Shards) for 6 silver 90 copper Blue Ogre Brew - Items - World of Warcraft

So this brings the revenue per shard for both items to 2 silver 30 copper.

I have to admit that I can't check the Tabard vendor price yet as I'm not yet exalted (very close though )

Yes, the breakdown I've seen from the "Unstable Flasks of the Beast" is that for every 5 Potions, is about 1g 25s, if you're desperate for money and have enough shards, go for it. It's not that much money, but enough to get you buy with repairs and stuff.
