How-To Gear New Level 90 Characters via Welfare Epics (ilvl 496) by Spazzer

Note: I really hope this is common sense but I have a feeling most people are not aware of these items. I see countless "new" level 90 characters running around LFR/Heroics with Greens/Blues when there are FREE ilvl 496 items! I will not be discussing the rare mobs found throughout Timeless Isle as most people are aware of them but I will be covering the chest locations around the island.

Location: Timeless isles



What you will be looting and where you will be going:
You will be venturing to Timeless Isles prior/once you hit Level 90 to get your welfare epics. Besides getting random items from mobs you also have chance at getting items from chests around the Isle.

1x Blazing Chest
1x Skull-Covered Chest
2x Smoldering Chest
4x Sturdy Chest
34x Moss-Covered Chest

Most people know about the Blazing Chest, Skull-Covered Chest, Smoldering Chests and Sturdy Chests; however, I find most people ignore the Moss-Covered Chests. All these chests have a chance at dropping welfare epics and a decent amount of Timeless Coins. You should loot all chests on Timeless Isle because you will receive many Bind on Account (BoA) items which can be transferred around your Battle.net Account. Having the ability to move these BoA items around servers and accounts is what makes these ilvl 496 welfare epics so amazing.

All of these items create ilvl 496 Welfare Epics depending on your ACTIVE spec. All items listed below can be upgraded via Burden of Eternity besides Timeless Curio to ilvl 535.

Now you just have to follow the pretty little arrows, loot the chests and profit!

Conclusion:
Everything else is common sense. I hope this has somewhat helped people gear their alts and finding those hidden chests. On every new level 90 character I loot all the chests and send any unused Welfare tokens to a bank alt for storage.

Yeah. You could always do that since they put it back in WOTLK. Just in the mail field put the 'CharctersName-ServersName". You can do it cross World of Warcraft licenses aslong as they are on the same Battle.net Account.

false, the server wide heirlooms is a new feature, before you had to make a ticket and only then if you were lucky get a gm to move the items for you (since it required em to interact with more then 1 gm to do the job and it was not worth it at that moment) but since more wanted the feature they implented it in mop.

and ofc you could move it across bnets if on same server before then.


but i have to say that the guide will be most helpful to players seeking to improve the gear at freshly level 90 keep it up!

The thing is if u have more 85lvl or more on each charter u have all this chest so u can easy gear up, but if someone only got 1 90 lvl he cant full gear up from here like me

I also have just one level 90 and have a ton of these items... just grind some rares on the island on daily basis.

Sorry all the chests listed are one-timers. I did mention any of the weekly as those just have Timeless Coins / Lesser Charms.
