Farm for Armored Razzashi Raptor, getting ZG for every Random Zandalari Queue.

Few days ago, i was farming for Random Heroics on my new 85.
Weirdly, i discovered that if i do not finish that random heroic dungeon, (eg, leaving before it's completed), the next random heroic queue would be the exact same dungeon as before.
I received 3x Grim Batol, 3x Vortex Pinnacle, 4x Shadowfang Keep, 2x Deadmines.

I've tried this with Zul Gurub to farm for Armored Razzashi Raptor, seems to be working very well. All the Random Zalandari Heroics placed me back into Zul'Gurub.

SO, how do you actually do this?

It's quite simple

1) Queue for Random Zalandari Heroic (Also known as Zandom).
2a) If you received Zul'Aman, complete it and return to step 1
2b) If you receive Zul'Gurub(fresh), continue doing it until you kill Bloodlord Mandokir.
3) Leave after killing boss/receiving loots
4) Rinse and repeat. You'll be placed back into Zul Gurub while queuing for the next Zandom.

[This is not a theory, unless RNG is so great that i get >10x Zul Gurub in a row with Zandom. Which is impossible as every time u complete ZG, your next Zandom queue WILL BE ZA, unless you're queuing in a party]



Note:
If you joined a dungeon in progress, at the last boss. Then sorry.... Either you eat the 30mins dungeon deserter debuff, or complete it and get queued into ZA the next round.

After a certain amount of time has passed, you are free to leave the dungeon without the debuff. So if it's fresh, you can kill mandokir, if it doesn't drop, leave.

Agreed. its pretty much the REVERSE of common knownedge.


go into a heroic, kill a boss, be locked and leave / etc. requeue and get same instance every time as long as you dont kill the last boss.


how is that common knowledge? thats pretty much the opposite of how things have worked clear back to the beginnings of the LFD system...

Once you run either ZA or ZG, you're locked to it for the remainder of the day, which means you can't specific queue for it. So, if you're either farming the panther or the raptor from ZG, this trick will allow you to get ZG over and over again. Simply leave after killing Mandokir/Kilnara and queue u and you'll be back into a (probably) fresh ZG.

You can also do this trick if you're farming for a certain item in a dungeon, as long as it doesn't drop from the last boss.

Just entered ZG in the middle of run. Killed panther boss, got loot, leaved party. Waited 7 to 9 minutes till the debuff ended than queued into random zandalar heroic. Got into ZA. Either this exploit requires you to be in a party from the very beginning of an instance, or to kill more than just one boss.
