Engineering is actually best for a Hunter, the 480agi boost can be used together with other personal cooldowns, while in the end the 10s uptime once every minute averages out to 80agi as well. However, I prefer having 480agi during RF Aimed Shot spam and no increased bonus for the rest of the minute. Also, min/max, the gun which I know not it's exact name can be used during combat as well for 4-5k dmg. Max would probably be engi/JC, but I like Alchemy better.
Imo Alchemy is not over Jewelcrafting however, the only time you would need to be this picky about your stats is in raids. In all raids you should have a flask up at all times which would in turn give you the +80 bonus.
Also, I'm really not sure I agree with some of the stuff on this guide. Take a warlock for example. Tailoring, Alchemy and, Jewelcrafting provide the same +80 intellect aswell as other non-dps boosting bonuses. Therefore you would have 3 choices not just Jcing and Enchanting.
Thanks for contributing anyways,
Brayden
JC should be ahead of alchemy on EVERY class on this list.
81 > 80.
OPs post contradicts itself.
Oh hai thur, best for warlock = Engineering/Tailoring. Please feel free to crunch the numbers to back that up. GOOD DAY.
Destruction in Cataclysm | The Demonic Mage (4.0.6 Updated) - Elitist JerksTailoring: Lightweave Embroidery gives 580 Int for 15 seconds on a 45 second ICD. This averages to 193.3 Int, which replaces the normal 50 Int enchant, providing only a 143.3 Int bonus. Tailoring currently gives the greatest DPS increase of all the professions.
There needs to be a bit more research/explanation behind the reasoning.

Hunter is incorrect, engineering > JC for the helm (pre HM), and even then the glove enchant > gems.
Hunter should definitely be LW and Eng and Warrior should be miner and BS (atleast for Prot) for obvious reasons.

Paladin(ret) best profession are engineering/JC. It's been said on EJ topic MANY times.
+rep Nice and simple guide. Just sayin' engi is IMO a good profession for all classes since you get a bis helm(before hm) and some other cool stuff which can help you in raids(repair bot, glove ench, para, nitro boost)
For Casters Tailoring is better because Lightweave Embroidery gives 580 Int for 15 seconds on a 45 second ICD. This averages to 193.3 Int, which replaces the normal 50 Int enchant, providing only a 143.3 Int bonus. Tailoring currently gives the greatest DPS increase of all the professions.
