    Avoid Botting Detection

this has nothing to do with what bots ur using or anything i just though i'd share my idea on the perfect way to get away to not answering while botting (cuz ur afk) simply put on a /dnd tag and for what itll say when ppl whsiper u have "/dnd sorry for not answering i am in combat log (monitering damage, avoiding talking ppl like you, lookin at ma 1337 critzorz, etc)" i think that it is a pretty reasonable answer and i havent seen it posted before=Dso plz leave feedback etc

The best way to not get caught is no "afk" or "dnd" making your playing a bit more natural >.<

    Re: Avoid Botting Detection

I dont think that would work because when u are botting ur moving so obviously not AFK so if ur moving around and attacking things and u have a /dnd tag and dont reply to the gm i dont think that would work.

Yea usually when I see a DnD tag or a AFK tag that makes me look into it more, then again, I bot so I'm more aware of these things I guess.

Putting on just afk or just dnd will get you banned. But the combat log thing isnt a bad idea.

    Re: Avoid Botting Detection

i dunno about any of this man, what happens if they find out? u just risked ur 3 level 70s with nearly all epics... wtf do u do when u loose those? i really do not think there isnt a way to completely cover yourself from gliding to 70...there is this one post on bots section, he did a very long long long thread, glider, he also changed some internal codes.. xml etc.. bla bla bla.. but still, would u risk ur 3 lvl 70s? sure as hell would be nice to bot level ur shit

    Re: Avoid Botting Detection

The best way is to make a AddOn that has like 100000000 whispers to auto-reply with. But it's still not safe.

You can just use Privacy mod <----(Link). It will tell the person if they really want to whisper you they have to put /tell in front of the message. Usaully people don't bother to whisper again seeing that you dont want to be messaged. You can also replay messages. There is also a VIP list to put people that you allow to whisper you.

none of it is safe, piggy's guide is good no doubt, but its only a matter of time before wow catches on and starts to ban thousands of accounts again, it does happen, everyone thinks it wont happen to them but i wouldn't be surprised when it does happen and you find yourself back at square 1

Privacy Mod is not a bad mod at all... but you got one thing twisted...
The guys that created World of Warcraft recruited a few of the brightest mind from EverQuest's Raiding Guilds. As a result, MOST of the day-to-day use EQ /commands work in WoW. So you can type /tell to send a tell (a whisper) anytime, mod or no mod. In fact, I ALWAYS typed "/tell blah blah" and used a TellTarget mod to let me type "/tt blah blah blah"... add WoW Instant Messenger and Warcraft suddenly has a message system IDENTICAL to EverQuest.

Now on Privacy Mod you get to set up a string variable people must type in order for it to allow the message through. For example, you could set it up to block all messages that do not start with "This Is Not Spam" (case sensitive) and then you would only get messages with that at the beginning.

    Now for the bad news...
If you use a Tell Blocker and a GM tries to contact you one time, the GM will teleport an in-game toon to your location. At this point, if you are botting you are screwed, because there will be a GM standing there watching.

If you want to glide with confidence, do it while you are at the computer. Download WIM or any other mod that gives audible warnings of incoming tells. And then watch a movie. Read a book. Anything you like. But when you hear the beep of incoming tell, stop gliding and see to it immediately! Also, do not let Glider go to town and sell for you. Do that by hand. You will be exposed to more people in town than in the field. Take a moment to join in the chatter in general or trade before sending your bot back into the field. It's 5 minutes out of every 4 hours... and it will make you 100% non-botlike.

The rest is asking how well you trust the Glider Team. Personally I trust them more than I trust Blizz, and I have never had a penny from them. The only real tricks I can mention here...
    1) NEVER EVER glide after a patch until you log onto the Glider boards and get the "All Clear".
    2) Never glide a toon or an account you care about when you are not there at the PC. DO glide, and enjoy doing other things, or homework, but not when you are at work, school, or sleeping.
    3) Update that Glider every single time they release anything for it. Check the Glider sites for a good 10 minutes every single day. Get a routine and stick to it.

Have people been banned for gliding? Sure. People have been banned for saying "Jesus Christ, WTF" in a tell with a GM... but if it is done right, the ONLY thing that should get a Glider banned is Warden... and if you follow rule #1 above, that will never happen.
I run 47 AddOns. My UI has an MP3 player. Unbuffed I am 10k hp/10k mana, 12k armor. I can wear shadow gear and destroy any 3 level 70 shadowpriests. At once. I AM a badass. And anything with C cups or better and pretty eyes will OWN me.
Know your limits. That is life as a Pally in Warcraft.

    Re: Avoid Botting Detection

sorry that u dont think this will work...i've just been using dnd tags while leveling since about 1-62 so ppl wont be surprised when they see im dnd...this is a decent way to avoid ppl whispering u though...if they see u then itll be pretty obvious though.
