Don't communicate with opposite faction.

Well. I've been one to do it for a VERY long time now. Finding how text translates to the opposite faction.. IE typing "d a p ee a bb b fff d jj ss" in common translates to "Y O U lo o se e ver y ti me" or "You loose every time" in the horde common language..

But.. the other day.. when I was bored and unable to play, i was surfing the wow website, read up on the ToU and noticed this -> ToU 5.B.10 states that -> "Communicate directly with players who are playing characters aligned with the opposite faction (e.g. Horde communicating with Alliance or vice versa)" Is directly against the ToU. IE... You can NOT type the text I have given you above to a /say or /yell channel, anything the opposite faction can easily read. I was uncertain about the meaning, so I submitted a petition to make sure about it.

If you are reported for doing this, you will be issued a warning (first), temp ban (second) perm ban (third) -- straight from the GM's mouth.

So, those of you who like taunting the opposite faction like this.. be aware. It >is< something they look out for, and they will ban for it.

Woot, i have the account and char names of 3 alliance accounts. They're all high levels and they all taunt! > Time to get em banned

This is accurate, however "KEK" has gotten so common it appears on ally side frequently even with no horde around at all... so I would not waste time reporting that.

But the lines of text like "You Lose" will 100% of the time be deemed as unfair communication.

Having an alt send them a tell on their faction will often result in a ban on the first time, if reported.
Blizz takes this seriously.

Now if they would only take balance, gameplay, and actual continuity of backstory seriously...

Never said I had been doing it at all...

But if you had some moron on your own side spamming it and not doing anything useful, then screaming at other people out of hand (In most any 19 block Gulch on either horde or ally side you will have at least 1 of these asshats more often than not... and the number grow as you get to larget BGs with more people to increase the number of asshats by ratio) then reporting them for this would likely do nothing at all.

Basically, allies say "KEK" to each other... in town... it is part of ally side slang anymore. So allies say it alot of places other than battlegrounds, and it is often not intended to do anything aside from making their own side laugh. Useless to report. That is what I was saying. It is ALL I was saying. Anything else you thought I was saying other than what I was saying... you imagined...

Quick question, my favorite method of taunting the opposite faction (I play both) is to use the custom emotes. I.E. '/e.' Then you get the "(my toons name) says (insert insult). Does this actually show up on the opposing side, and would this fall under blizzards unlawful, (un-ToU-full?) communications?
