Lower your chances of getting banned for botting

Here are a few tips/pointers for you botters/or you're thinking of botting.

    1. Try to avoid overpopulated servers that = more people in your area and people potentially reporting you.

    2. Always bot at night to early in the morning like 9pm-6am, there won't be as many people active in the zone and thus less chances of being reported.

    3. Don't leave your bot completely unattended, check back periodically to see if anyone has whispered you or you are getting followed, and if you can check what message they sent you. If more then 2 people said they've reported you, lay low for a while.. maybe a couple of days so if a GM does investigate your activity they will see you are not doing anything illegal.

    4. Don't flood the auction house, yes this is common sense but this is probably how they catch botters out.. getting an enormous amount of materials in a short amount of time. Only put 10 auctions of any item at one time, and do the same daily.

that's all for now, if you have any further questions don't hesitate to send me a PM or in the thread.

I just want to say it seems like nice tips. But I´ve been botting 24/7 on PvP and Leveling and etc. Never got any bann and I play on the most popular server Alliance. Also "I THINK" it's worse on the night to bot. Due to less players in the area and these people getting thoughtful of "you" the botter. If it's a very big poppulated area like Sholazar Basin when you minning/herbing. People won't bother to report due to it's hundres of people in the area.. But nice tips but most common sense as mostly guides are.

    Thank you for sharing

I mean people constantly monitoring said areas, if you've been in the same location for 8 hours and counting alarm bells are going to start ringing.

Also it is safe to move one area to another, maybe within the span of 2 or so hours.

blizz dont really care that much about botting any more, it's too hard to be sure and atleast bots still pay monthly fees. also a lot of people behave like bots when farming, especially with mods that create optimal gathering routes. so unless you are using a dumb bot you are probably safe.

I have been buzzy doing hacks day and night. Any time of the day, any day of the week for the last 3 years now. Never gotten even a 3 hour ban.

Its rng is someone sees you, or if you are stupid enough to tell anyone what you are upto.

Also, most bots like xyz won't be tracked, unless you are going somewhere 'into design area'

also, don't use waypoint bots without checking it a whole day how it runs,
it might get stuck, do strange things, go into area's with many players
    etc

Well I don't know what to say, that is truly incredible.

Maybe I'm stuck in the old ways of thinking.

GJ at at least trying to contribute, I will give you +1 rep for trying. Though many of these tips have already been posted and often you can find them in half the bots readme.txt files if you know what I mean hehe.

    good luck.
