[Rogue]Gearing for Arena's

Hi there,

My wow account was frozen for over 7 months and I recently started playing again.
So when I came back, I was immediatly invited back to my former guild and now I raid on a steady basis.

On the other hand I also want pvp gear for arenas with my irl friend.
So I looked some stuff up and i will post everything that i am going for what the costs are and how to enchant/gem them.

This is a step by step progress which I am doing myself at the moment too.
So pretty much everything is gainable.
I am aiming for the best possible gear without doing arenas and without rating.

So let's get started!

Gear:
Furious Helm - 75 Emblems of Triumph
Furious Amulet of Victory - 38.800 Honor
Furious Shoulders - 50 Emblems of Triumph
Furious Cloak of Victory - 38.800 Honor
Furious Chest - 75 Emblems of Triumph
Furious Bracers - 31.600 Honor
Furious Gloves - 50 Emblems of Triumph
Furious Belt - 49.600 Honor
Furious Pants - 75 Emblems of Triumph
Furious Boots - 49.600 Honor
Furious Ring - 38.000 Honor

That brings us to a grand total of 325 Emblem of Triumphs and 212.200 Honor.
Obviously this is not something you can do in one day...

My tip for emblems would be to just do random dailies for the extra 2 emblems every heroic.
Also try to buy pants and gloves as last, since they can also drop from VoA which saves you 125 Emblems of Triumph.

For honor, you just need some mindless farming: AV, Holiday BGs en daily Qs.
I would really recommend WG if you are on the winning side and for the Quests.

Weapons:
Blood Weeper x2
Drops in heroic Forge of Souls and it is the most easy ones to get for its dps.

Trinkets:
Obviously if your not human -> Medallion of the Alliance - 30.400 Honor
Battlemasters's Precision is like a must for me! - 62.000 Honor
(Though i do like the underline that a trinket with +hit is advisable, since ur lacking hit a lot.

Misc:
Now all that remains is a ranged weapon and on other ring.
For your ranged weapon i would recommend a thrown.
EG:Papa's Knife or Crimson Star since they are not that hard to get.

The other ring isn't that important and i'm planning on getting the relentless one after i got the right rating.

Enchants:
Helm: Arcanum of Torment or Arcanum of Triumph
Amulet: None
Shoulders: Greater inscription of the axe or Inscription of Triumph
Back: Shadow Armor or Major Agility
Chest: Powerful Stats or Exceptional Resilience
Bracers: Fur Lining or Stamina
Gloves: Major Agility or Precision
Belt: Eternal Belt Buckle
Pants: Icescale Leg Armor
Boots: Superieur Agility or Icewalker
Rings: Assault
Mainhand Weapon: Berserking or Mongoose
Offhand Weapon: Titanium Weapon Chain

Gems:
Blue: Balanced
Yellow: Pristine or Rigid
Red: Bright
Meta: Persistant or Relentless

Well that's pretty much it.
I know this may not be the best upgrades out there, but it's what i'm getting.

On OH the TWC is pretty much a must have, or you'll be pretty much useless for 8/10 seconds instead of 4/5.

Instead of gemming for hit as much as you seem to do, I advise using Hood/Mask of Lethal Intent for 75 EoT instead of the Furious Gladiator Leather Helm.
It gives 82 Hit Rating, along with more Agility, Attack Power, roughly the same amount of Stamina and a decent amount of ArP, even though ArP isn't as good now as it was before, due to most rogues going for 44/2/25 Envenom spec, it should still be better.
If you also use the Furious Neck and Cloak of Victory, you'd have 166 Hit Rating which is already above the hit cap and you can replace the Battlemasters's Precision with Battlemaster's Conviction, once you're above the cap it's not really advisable to gear or gem for more.

I'd also like to add that Unsharpened Ice Razor is about equal, if not better than Blood Weeper if you're going for the envenom spec, this generally boils down to preference and which class you're playing against.

And euh 4/5 is the same as 8/10 :S

That is indeed an option that you can do to replace the hit on Battlemaster for an other one. Will look into that when i am that far.

Also i really prefer Blood weeper since it has slower speed which means higher damage aka higher crits. Also the unsharpened ice razor has ArP which is like u stated an useless stat for PvP mutilate.
