Hey, welcome to my little guide about how to make some easy gold with Engineering ALMOST DOING NOTHING As many of you know(hopefully) Engineering isn't the best profession if you looking to make huge profits. In this guide i will explain step by step how to make a little amount of gold. It can be server dependant since the mats for the items mostly of the times have a little differens of price. I reccomend you to have atleast 800-1000gold to start of with. ALSO, this it pretty much common sence.. but i saw one a few days ago that said everything in World of Warcraft is common sence right now, and that is correct in some ways.



2. To the "hard work"


The item we going to make is (Nesingwary 4000)

Now to the real "hard work", mount up and run all the long way to your Auction House.

Now you have to buy the mats for the gun, the mats are.

10 Titanium Bars

1 Frozen Orb

12 Eternal Fire

12 Eternal Shadow

1 Walnut Stock (This one is bought from the Engineering Supply Vendor in Dalaran)

3 Sun Scope

If you find the mats for Sun Scope Cheaper you can buy the mats and craft the Sun Scope by yourself, the mats for Sun Scope is.

1 Froststeel Tube

1 Sun Crystal

1 Autumn's Glow


Now to the absolute hardest part in this section, craft the item. Simply press "Create" and you're done.





3. How to make the profit.

Now you got your shiny gun in the bag, if you don't got one earlier, don't start do drool and equip it. Run to the AH again(duh.. this is hard).

Search for the gun and see if anyone selling one aswell, if he/she does it. Try to undercut it. If no one sells one at the moment you can make even more profit.

At my server this gun sells for about 850 gold. I posted mine for 940 gold and got it sold 10 hours(long time, but hey, you did almost nothing!) later.

Anyways... never try to sell the gun under 800 gold (atleast try to don't do it, if you do it. Please just don't come back here and /flameblame me for it)

So... you bought mats for 482 gold.

This is the prices at MY server. It can be different at your server so you may actually have to stand up and get your cellphone or a calculator, if you aren't smart enough, like me, im stupid.)

10 Titanium Bars = 150g
1 Frozen Orb = 65g
12 Eternal Fire = 144g
12 Eternal Shadow = 48g
3 Sun Scope = 70g
1 Walnut Stock = 5g

Let us say you sold your gun for 950 gold. Minus the mats prices for 482 gold.

950 - 482 = 468

You made 468 gold doing almost nothing. With Engineering!





4. Tips


I strongly recommend the addon Auctioneer It's an addon that helps you out at the Auction House. You can find severals guide of how to configure/use it here on MMOwned or Youtube.


Don't add the gun to Auction House for a plain simple number of gold for example 800g 50s 50c. Try to add it for 803g 34s 74c. That will hopefully get they to think it's an automaticly price set by the auction house and that it's the averange price for the gun.


You can also make the Armor Plated Combat Shotgun if it's more profitable. It requires other mats that's why it can increase the profit. Same thing as in the above steps only other mats. (Thanks to freakyflow for the tip).

I really hope you Engineerers will start making some gold from this like me.

Also on my server its more profitable to engineer the armor plated shotgun because mats are cheaper and its in higher demand ( tanks!).

Common sense but good well written guide. Ive been 450 Goblin Engineer for a long time and it is really hard to make gold out of it. Whoever is thinking about getting this profession make sure you have mining and a lot of gold! This is more of a fun proffesion not that much of money making. Good Post though.

What's that about crafting something then selling it for profit? Oh yeah... But anyway, I have to say it was really well written and I see you put some effort in it. I hope you make more guides with some more ''useful'' methods for making gold.

Yeah it's pretty much common sence as i stated in the 1st post.. made this because i saw my friend keep farmed the mats for this and then sold it. I told him he could just buy the mats of AH and resell the gun and get profit. Some peoples don't know this techique

Will try get new ideas for some other guides when i got time.
