Reaching the Underwater Mining Camp

NOT bannable, I was found there by a GM before, didn't even get a warning

About the mining camp:


The underwater mining camp is located in the zone Tanaris, Kalimdor, and is on the ocean floor, deep underwater, and far out to the sea.

Normally it would be impossible to reach on a live server without dying of fatigue, but I'm proud to say that I found a way to explore this interesting location.

To find the mining camp on the map, pull up a zone map of Tanaris.


See that compass, out to the East? The mining camp is directly on it, deep underwater.

But how, you all ask, do you propose to REACH such a spot? Isn't that impossible?

Not at all.

Note: This took me about five or six tries to successfully pull off. Don't expect to get it on the first try.

Steps

1. Enter the ring of valor arena. A skirmish works just fine.

2. Change a part of your interface. I like messing with the chat box, and my friend usually changes the chat bubbles.

3. Logout WHILE THE ELEVATOR IS NOT MOVING!
Whenever I tried the trick before the elevator was ascending, it would either simple kick me out of the arena or teleport me to Area 52.

4. If you did it right, you're now in Stonard. Congrats, so far so good. Queue up for a BG (I managed to get it to work once with WSG, but I recommend EoTS for consistency).

5. Once you enter the battleground, you'll die almost immediately. Release spirit, and you'll find yourself in Tanaris fatigue water, but not taking fatigue damage. Good job!

6. Home stretch here, hang on just a bit longer. Pull up your map, and notice the compass symbol in the lower left corner (while viewing the Tanaris zone).
Swim to that compass normally, and then take the plunge.

Note: I don't reccomend trying a swimspeed potion or waterwalking, as it seems pretty much anything can reset this. I just went into aquatic form and back out, and it started the fatigue timer. Underwater breathing potions should work, and you can heal yourself if you don't have any.

Note: If you're having a problem with this trick, simply list which step you've gotten up to, and I'll try to guide you through it from there.

Note: DO NOT TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA FLOOR AT THE MINING CAMP!
I cannot stress that enough, you will die immediately.

Edit: So sorry guys, just noticed a typo in step 2.
I logged out most of the time when it is NOT moving. I got it working once while the elevator was ascending, but it failed many more times, so I'd try it while the elevator is stationary.

Umm so now i cant log in. Does this only work for horde? Because im alliance i did this, and now i cant get on my character lol plz help Just finished the part with logging out when on elevator moving up in ring of valor btw.

Edit: I can log in now, but it ported me to dalran, and i did do this while rising on the elevator.

Do it before the elevator starts rising next time, see how it works.

I have guesses, but I doubt any of them are right. All I know is that when I experimented with this and didn't change part of my chat interface (turning bubbles on or off works best), it didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

Can't you test it on ally on PTR? I have heard that they are allowing premades now and since that patch doesn't change much at all , there shouldn't be much difference. I have no idea though if theyare disabling PvP when they allow premades.
Anyway, I think I might try this one as ally, will say if it actually works.

Halfway through downloading the PTR. I haven't gotten any rep for this share, so I'd really appreciate it if you could get a few pics up as proof, but I should be able to take some myself in a bit.

I just did this as an alliance. Instead of landing in Stonard, I instead went to Dalaran. After entering EoTS I didn't die, but instead landed on a corner of the map, outside of the bubble before the battleground started. So, do this up to entering a battleground and you can get a headstart in some battlegrounds. Will test with other BG's.
