Not every bot has the option to close or shutdown after a certain amount of time, for example MrFishIt. So this is a neat little way to shutdown your computer after however long of botting you do.
Windows XP users.
I usually run my bot for a few hours each night after raids when no one is on (maybe 2-3am-->6-7am) and i had a little neat trick that doesnt involve any software to shutdown my computer after a few hours of botting.
1. Simply create a new text file.
2. Putas the only line of text in the document. the -s simply means Shutdown, the -f means Force Shutdown, it will force all your applications (Fishbot, WoW, etc) to close without confirmation windows.Code:%windir%\System32\Shutdown.exe -s -f
3. Save as "Shutdown.bat" (batch file)(make sure file extensions are on)(the file will look like a window with a cog in the middle)
4. Go to START --> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> Scheduled Tasks.
5. Click on Add Scheduled Task, then hit Next. Wait a few minutes for it to recognize all the programs on your computer, it may look like the window is not responding and may even slow down your computer, but i promise its working.
6. When it shows you a massive list of all your programs, ignore it and hit BROWSE.
7. Browse to the newly created "Shutdown.bat" and hit OPEN.
8. Set it to "One Time Only" and Name it whatever you want, i just leave it as "Shutdown", then hit next.
9. Set the time and date you want to shutdown, then hit next.
10. Insert the proper information for the account you are currently using on the computer, then hit next.
11. Do not go to Advanced Options, just finish the window and it will show up on the main Sheduled Tasks window.
12. Sleep safely knowing the bot is hard at work and it wont be running for a retarded ammount of time.
